Over the past few weeks we have seen sprinkles of green appearing throughout fashion and interiors, as we transition into Autumn and Winter the colour inspired by nature will be taking centre stage.
Our trend report shines a light on one of the biggest colours incoming for Autumn Winter 2020/2021 ...Introducing Olive Green.
As a colour, Green signifies soothing, relaxation and youthfulness and is often used in environments that provide renewal, adventure or calm. In some cultures, green traditionally represents wealth or finance.
However, be aware, when used too much green can cause people to become placid, lazy or lethargic.
After months of uncertainty, turbulence and financial pressure 2020 has thrown at us, it is no surprise to us that green will be a prominent colour in our interiors for the latter part of 2020 and early 2021.
As lockdown eases and people fight to find their own version of a new normal, shades of green will provide feelings of balance, new growth and the hope which we are so desperately seeking.
When paired with neutrals such as tan, beige and maroon, our colour of the A/W season, which signifies peace, will bring sophistication to a space.
For those homes that are decorated with palettes of greys, navy blue or red, Olive Green is a great tone to add warmth to an interior through home accessories, fabrics or paint.
