design services

Studio Alma is an experienced team offering multiple aspects of interior design and interior architecture. Collaborating in house as well as with a range of trusted contractors, artisans, suppliers and carefully selected manufacturers we work closely with private clients and developers to offer a bespoke design service for their project.

Our team designs with the client at the forefront, taking into consideration context, location, brief and personal taste. We are able to work across a multitude of projects, from simply furnishing show homes sympathetic to the developer's renovations, single room schemes, as well as large projects requiring full interior design and interior architecture.

Our knowledge, skill, and an extensive network of suppliers enables us to provide kitchen and bathroom design, lighting design, home cinema and AV experiences alongside our full remit of residential interior services.

Our passion and care for each project is evident through our friendly and dedicated team of designers.

We have invested time and our experience to hone our process to ensure an efficient design service. This is split into the following stages.

During the initial stage, we take the time to learn about how the client wishes to use the property or space, their personal style, lifestyle, and requirements. We will build a picture of the project through a site visit or floor plans and photographs as well as ensure that we understand all factors such as time scale, budget, and any structural considerations. Following this thorough briefing stage, we will send a proposal to the client outlining the brief as we understand it and our associated design fee.

On acceptance of our proposal and design fee, we begin work to interpret the brief. Within this stage of a project, we will present the concept designs, consisting of floor plans illustrating the proposed furniture layouts and any structural changes that may be required, and mood board presentations containing samples of all proposed finishes as well as 2D and 3D imagery of suggested furniture and joinery concepts. This is a very collaborative stage and we invite our clients to give as much feedback. This ensures we are working to meet client, requirements, style, and budget.

Having approved all of the concept designs we progress to the design development and detail design stage. All final bespoke furniture, joinery, and interior architecture drawings will be presented, along with all final finishes and accessories for clients to approve. At this stage, we will also present full costs in line with the agreed budget.

Our team ensures all orders are placed and managed, with regular communication and quality checks carried out throughout the manufacture of bespoke products and delivery of all items.

The schedule of works will be outlined and agreed upon. With all onsite requirements met, works will commence with our team attending regular site meetings, working closely with contractors and site personnel. The hands-on approach ensures our designs are being carried out to their exact specifications and that the project is progressing as planned. We will keep the client updated throughout as well as efficiently over see and communicate during the final stages and snagging of the project before handover.
